Both public
institutions and private companies can be ESA sustaining members. The relevant
fees are in the ESA application form, reachable from the the page join ESA,
from the main page.
The priviliges
of sustaining members are:

(max 200 x 100 pixels) + 3 lines of text + web link in the "sustaining"
page
dedicated
email sent twice a year to all members with the subject: ESA web: from sustaining
members. The content is up to the sustaining member (no attachments)
20%
discount for a booth at the ESA congress (only for sustaining members who
are so for at least 2 years)
sustaining
members cannot enter keywords for the search of members (see relevant page),
which is reserved to individuals. They will have their name (e.g. THIS_COMPANY),
no first name, no keywords, yes email address.
like
all members, they can publish events, references and posters, if of scientific
content. They can add job offers.
